Senior Property Manager – Office and Mixed-Use Assets
Location: City of London
Up to £65,000 plus benefits
THE ROLE:
My Client has exciting opportunity, with excellent career potential, to join a professional and dynamic commercial property management department as a Senior Property Manager.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing a broad range (and particularly interesting set) of assets on a day-to-day basis, whilst instructing and managing associated workflows and liaising with the in-house accounts team on accounting-based requirements.
DAY TO DAY:
- Responsibility for the comprehensive property management of a selection of buildings within the portfolio.
- Self-sufficient in their use of our property accounting software, Propman.
- To run and prepare client reports using data from this system.
- Be familiar with health and safety software and work closely with the FM team to ensure compliance.
- Work with the accounts team to ensure all rent and service charge demands are collected in accordance with KPIs
- Work closely with the FM to specify and procure service contracts and reactive works
- Liaise with FM to ensure building services are provided in accordance with lease obligations and prevailing legislation.
- Ensure that the building insurance is procured in a timely manner and tenants are recharged
- Liaise with the utility consultant to procure and where necessary recharge electricity recharges to occupiers.
- Prepare service charge budgets and present to clients for their approval ahead of the new service charge year.
- To assist the accounts team with the preparation of audited end of year accounts.
- To agree monthly or quarterly client meeting and preparation of management reports to be circulated ahead of the meeting.
- To prepare action points at the meeting and circulate to all parties after the meeting.
- Fielding enquiries and reporting on general maintenance and repairs with an emphasis on proactive management.
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction is maintained by effective communication and co- ordination.
- Liaising with our established Agency and Landlord and Tenant teams in accordance with lease events to best manage the clients’ portfolios.
- Oversee and direct (where required) graduate members of the team. To assist with securing new business opportunities.
YOU:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role managing commercial property in London preferably for a small to medium sized consultancy.
This is a client facing role and therefore the candidate must be comfortable communicating with clients both at a written level and at meetings.

- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills
- A good knowledge of Landlord and Tenancy legislation.
- Ability to work on their own initiative, problem solve and exercise sound judgement and apply common sense in decision making
- Extremely well organised and ability to manage a complex and changing workload
- Be self-motivated and self-sufficient
